Silkk The Shocker - The Shocker. 1996, CD, Rap, New Orleans, Louisiana, No Limit Records, Phunky Phat Graph-X.

  1. Provided to YouTube by Universal Music Group The Shocker Silkk The Shocker Master P The Shocker ℗ A Priority Records Release; ℗ 1996 Capitol Records LLC.
  2. Silkk the Shocker rose to fame in the mid-late 1990s, after striking a deal with Priority, Silkk released his 1996 debut album The Shocker in August 1996 using the alias 'Silkk' and with beats from acclaimed producers such as Craig B and DJ Daryl. After changing his name to Silkk the Shocker, he went on to appear on numerous albums from TRU's Tru 2 da Game, Mia X's Unlady Like, and Mystikal's.
  3. Although it certainly wasn't planned that way, Charge It 2 da Game was No Limit's first major release since the breakthrough success of Master P's Ghetto D.Like any No Limit album, Charge It 2 da Game is primarily notable for the way it co-opts current trends. Granted, it doesn't sound as derivative as Ghetto D, possibly because Snoop Doggy Dogg, Ice Cube, and Eightball & MJG make guest.
  4. More popular Silkk The Shocker mp3 songs include: Ghetto D Lyrics, It's Going Around Outside, Shocker Lyrics, Make 'Em Say Ugh, Don't Play No Games Lyrics, Hook It Up Lyrics, Weed & Hennesey, 1 Morning Lyrics, It Ain't My Fault Explicit - Silkk The Shocker, Puttin' It Down Lyrics, Hoody Hooo Lyrics, Rollin Through My Hood, Ghetto 211, Haters, Commercial One, If I Don't Gotta Explicit - Silkk.

The Shocker is the debut album of American rapper Silkk the Shocker, who was then known as Silkk. It was released on August 20, 1996, by No Limit Records and Priority Records. It features production by Beats By the Pound and guest appearances from C-Murder and Mia X among others. The Shocker was only a mild success compared to some his future albums and made it to number 49 on the US Billboard 200 and #6 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. As with most of No Limit's albums, this featured a lot of guest appearances from members of the record label including his brothers, Master P and C-Murder and group TRU. since its release The Shocker has sold over 600,000 copies.

Background[edit]

Asymtek automove 201 programming manual. Planning of this album dates as far back as early 1995, as advertisements for the album can be seen on the back cover of earlier copies of Master P's 1995 album 99 Ways to Die.

Controversy[edit]

Before the album was released, the initial cover for the album had Silkk holding a 9 mm caliber outside of a TV. This is possibly why the 'Parental Advisory' logo was moved to the middle of the cover.[2]
